Some of you may remember that I "finished" my first commercial game some months ago.

Well, I spoke to soon. A few months later I was contacted again to work on the game. It had apparently gone through a major style change and I was needed to make some key adjustments to the game code to fit this style (as well as fix some bugs).

So finally now the game is approaching release! Within the next few weeks the first episode will be available for online purchase.

Here's some information on the game: ... ber=354243

Here's a multitude of screenshots: ... _2_2_2.htm

Here's an interview of the game's designer in an online magazine (it's just a community magazine, but still): ... _2_2_2.htm

Here's a page I wrote up that details the game's creation from my own perspective:

And here's the game's official website, a work in progress (and currently only in German): ... 09&lang=de

You can now all tell me how amazingly awesome I am for single handedly writing this game in my spare time. :p

(I know I've been absent from the forums for a long time. ^ That's why.)

A demo of the game can now be downloaded here: ...

Be aware that we had to quickly release this demo for an upcoming contest, and thus it has some annoying bugs and problems that will be fixed by the time the first episode is available for purchase.

Enjoy :)

They did. But I'm still in highschool, so my spare time was all I could afford the project.

An updated demo was released a few days ago: ... oSetup.exe

The original demo I posted here was released prematurely to meet the deadline of a contest (which we won, by the way), and contains numerous bugs that this new demo fixes. This demo also includes, improved voice acting, the ability to set your own controls, enhanced levels, and improved AI.

Enjoy. ;)

Hah! Nice played through last night and almost got killed many times due to laughing. "no duck and cover system?... That's so 90's". I loved the style as well and the way the pistol had only one returning projectile was an interesting spin.

Very clever!

It's fun to get emails like this.

Are you really 17? I don't really have a purpose in sending you this email,
but I did find it amusing that G.R.U.N.T.S. has a +16 age rating (according
to the website), when its programmer was likely younger when it was coded.
That is, if your entire website isn't just an attempt at trolling people. In
which case you've succeeded."
