Will there ever be a compilation of HEXEN:EOC for MAC? I've been willing to play it on my Doom3 engine but cannot get it to run, because I'm running Doom3 for MAC.

secret levels would probably be too much because it's taken us so long just to make the normal levels. If we had some overabundance of level designers then it would be something we could look at. Unfortunately that's not the case.

Hello, first post. Being a Hexen fan, this mod looks not only nostalgic but pretty badass as well. I'm curious/interested if the mod is open to hobby level designers. TBH I'm trying to increase my mapping skills and this game would be perfect for me.

We would absolutely be interested in other people using our game as a base for custom levels outside of our own story. We'd even help spread word on any person who wanted to release a decent map through our own media outlets.

You could also consider just joining our team as well if we think your talent is to a level that would do well in our project. We are always looking for mappers who can show talent.

Yeah, the forum discussions have generally died down. Not sure where everyone went. The team is actively still working away though, no worries about that. Work gets committed almost every day by at least someone and we've entirely moved over as a standalone game now.

Have you ever looked into id tech 4 in terms of programming/scripting?

I have looked into Doom 3 SDK briefly, but I think I would be able to contribute after a two-week dig into the engine (or maybe even sooner, depending on free time).

Where do your interests/abilities lay? Game play, development tools, or renderer? I'd have to talk to our lead programmer, but I think generally speaking we have game play programmer covered for the most part, though he'd be able to tell me more accurately. However if you have an interest in development tools or renderer, that would be pretty nice. I think there are some bugs in the various editors that we'd love to see fixed/updated.

Just to start out I would look a bit at the vanilla source to see if it's within your programming knowledge. You also need the non-express version of Visual Studio 2010 to compile.
