Wrong game DLL API version

When I try to start the game I get the message "wrong game DLL API version" and it stops loading. I am patched to 1.3.1. Any ideas what might be wrong? Thanks!

BTW, glad to see you finally got this MOD completed! I remember reading about this MOD a couple of years ago on the Doom3World forums.

You don't happen to be using any 'cracks' are you?

I am also having this issue... Windows 7 ultimate 64, with Nvidia 9800GTX. Tried running the .bat file and the doom3.exe as administrator and still no go. I will try and run it in compatibility mode and report back. Can't tell you how excited I am to play this. My fondest gaming memories are of this game and Heretic.

Cracks are not allowed. If you are using a crack this mod probably will not run. There is also to be no talk of cracks or how to get around it. Doom 3 doesn't require the cd in the drive to play so there is no need for any form of cracked .exe

I had the same problem (I have Windows 7 x64 too).
For me, a walkaround was getting started original Doom 3 (absolutely not the batch file), running it "as Administrator", then manually open Edge of Chaos by the mod menu.

wrong game DLL API version:
Hello together, running Doom³ version 1.3.1302 and have the same error. All mods are disabled and i using no cracks.
OS is windows vista. Doom³ runs with compatbility mode and administrator.
Always the same error. What is wrong ? Please advise me. :cry:

Post your console log up somewhere. There are some things that need to be confirmed before continuing like the previous user. Big difference between 1.1302 and 1.1304.

Just want to confirm some things that can be seen in the console log.
