Never, ever, ever, ever, ever get involved with Steam. It will burn you, I guarantee it.

It never crashes for me, this isn't 2005 anymore. They also just came out with a whole new Steam client a few weeks back. This issue has nothing to do with Steam, but with Rockstar and no one displaying the requirement of an online account through Game for Windows Live just to save a Single player game.

I only buy PC games on Steam. No boxed versions and no other digital distributions and I love it.
Sounds Great. Do it again.

Same here, I've never had any trouble with Steam either. By the way, you can get the original Hexen on Steam. :)
Yep, time for another Doom fix.

Denied. It seems Steams' neglect of important requirement information for the game doesn't dictate a refund when I don't agree to the real requirements for the game. Thanks!!!!

I actually don't *use* those discs. I back everything up and use the copied ISO's. Usually I just make a dummy CD that I use for the CD checks without all the game data. Most of the time I use a no-cd thingy though, just so I can save my discs. I keep all of them in plastic in those special CD books that hold like 100 CD's per case or so.

It isn't the storage or handling that degrades a CD(they have a life expectancy of about 75 years), it's how much/often that CD is in the drive spinning and spinning. A CD will wear down if constantly left in the drive to spin. And even further, it only takes a faulty drive 1 load to ruin a CD, wear and tear aside. Fact is a CD has a good shelf life, but they are not durable to use as a simple scratch can render an entire CD useless.

I own a .22 caliber bolt-action rifle with two clips and 125 hollow point magnum bullets. My attachable scope is illuminated.

My 13 year old brother has a small .410 break-action shotgun.
