Re: Deathkings - Segments of the Fourth Weapon

I think it depends on what character you play as. For instance, I know the third weapon is located in different levels of the first hub, depending on which class you play. It's been a few years since I've played Deathkings all the way through, but yes, I know all the weapons can be found in the firs...

Re: Unforgettable level

Yes, there will be a swamp level. That's all I can say.

Regarding the midi track, I'm not sure. I know I had downloaded the full Heretic soundtrack off the net some time back, and I know the site had Hexen's playlist as well.

Ah, here we go. http://sycraft.org/content/audio/hexen.shtml

Re: What your favorite Hexen character?

I first played Hexen when I was 9 or 10 years old. The mage was my favorite then, and he's my favorite now. And the hardest difficulty setting is the only one I play. To begin with, I think the mage has the best first weapon, the Sapphire Wand. Sure, it's weak, but a straight-shooting, fast-firing w...

Re: DOOM 4

Yeah, by all means, I hope they keep the dark, atmospheric elements they had in Doom 3. But they do need to also take advantage of id Tech 5 and incorporate open environments and dozen-demon skirmishes as well. I have confidence in id though. It sounds like they have really learned from the mistakes...

Re: DOOM 4

I was disappointed with how Doom 3 turned out in the end. Being a long-time doom fan, I really tried hard to enjoy it, but it just wasn't the doom I know and love. It was WAY too repetitive, for one. Secondly it has a totally different atmosphere than the original doom, which just doesn't fit. Thir...

Re: DOOM 4

I may be going to Quakecon '10. If I do, I hope, hope, hope they show Doom 4. I've already waited nearly two years to get a peek at this game.

Re: Hexen II is kicking my ass......

I agree with most everything I've read here. Hexen II is hard as hell with the Necromancer at the beginning of the game, and D'sparil was possibly the most challenging boss in the entire series. You just have to keep chipping away at him, and eventually, your persistence will be rewarded. I still re...

Re: The big Linux vs. Windows topic

I gotta admit, I'm fairly ignorant in this area. Although I'm far more tech-savvy than many of Windows users I've come across (some of whom are all but clueless) I've never actually used Linux. Windows is what I've been using my whole life, it's what I'm familiar with, it's the best platform for mod...

Re: Hexen: Edge of Chaos needs You!

I've tried emailing you, but I can't seem to get through. Anyways, I am interested as well. I have a Doom 3 map that is about 99% finished, so if you'd like, I can let you know when its done so that you can take a look at it and let me know if you're interested in having me as a mapper. How does tha...

I still play all of those games (I've had most of them since their release), but I most frequently play the PC versions of Hexen and Heretic (with the zdoom source port.)
